Where It All Began
Foodsteps was founded by Anita and Maciej, whose experience has been built through years of trekking, camping, mountaineering, glacier travel, long-distance expeditions, and outdoor adventures.
Every journey became an opportunity to test outdoor gear, evaluate freeze-dried meals and outdoor food, and learn what truly performs when conditions become demanding.
Over time, those experiences evolved into something much bigger than a personal passion. They became practical knowledge gained through real-world experience.
That is how Foodsteps was created - an outdoor preparation system that brings together carefully selected outdoor equipment, freeze-dried meals, practical outdoor knowledge, and proven solutions to help people prepare for hiking, trekking, camping, expeditions, and adventures with greater confidence and safety.
Anita Horowska
Traveler and photographer with years of experience exploring the Arctic.
She regularly returns to Iceland and Svalbard, taking part in both summer trekking expeditions and winter ski adventures. She is also the author of photographic exhibitions documenting the landscapes and everyday life of the far north.
The experience gained in some of the world's harshest environments taught her one essential lesson: in the outdoors, there is no room for random choices. Quality, functionality, reliability, and proper preparation make the difference.
At Foodsteps, Anita leads brand development and carefully selects outdoor gear, camping equipment, and products that support expedition preparation. Her philosophy is simple - we recommend only the products and solutions that have proven themselves in real outdoor conditions.
Maciej Dziurla
Traveler and outdoor enthusiast who feels equally at home on the open sea, beneath the ocean's surface, and across the snowy landscapes of the north.
For years, he has explored destinations around the world where success depends on careful planning, reliable equipment, and responsible decision-making.
Every expedition has been an opportunity to test equipment, refine preparation strategies, and gain experience in real conditions. This practical knowledge has shown him that the best outdoor gear and freeze-dried meals are the ones you can trust when comfort disappears and performance truly matters.
At Foodsteps, Maciej is responsible for technology, logistics, and selecting solutions that improve safety, reliability, and comfort during demanding outdoor adventures.
One Shared Vision
Although Foodsteps began with Anita and Maciej, today it is built by a team united by a shared passion for the outdoors and experience gained through their own journeys, expeditions, and adventures around the world.
Together, we continuously test outdoor equipment, freeze-dried meals, and outdoor food in real conditions. We share experiences from different environments and carefully select products and solutions that genuinely support outdoor preparation and perform when they matter most.
This allows us to share practical knowledge about expedition planning, outdoor preparation, and responsible decision-making-helping our community prepare for every stage of the journey, from the first idea to a safe return.
We build Foodsteps the same way we prepare for every expedition: step by step, responsibly, and with respect for nature.
We believe the best outdoor experiences begin long before the first step-with thoughtful preparation, trusted equipment, informed decisions, and a deep respect for the places we explore.
